Driver CPC Periodic Training at DDay Training Ltd

We are an approved Training Centre; the Driver CPC courses we deliver have been approved by the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT) and the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

Our Office and Training Centre is based in Worleston, Nantwich, Cheshire. Courses can also be run on your premises anywhere in the UK and can be tailored to specific needs for up to 20 students, note: you must be able to provide a suitable training room. We will check the room prior to the course to ensure that it meets basic Health & Safety and JAUPT requirements. We also provide all audio visual equipment Free of Charge with any course if required.

Any Driver CPC course can be tailored to your company’s needs, we can integrate any of your policies and specific instructions that you need putting across to your drivers, we can also arrange the training to take place at your convenience with a couple of weeks’ notice, the training can be during school half term or full term, weekends or even in the evenings (i.e. 3.5 hrs one evening and 3.5 hrs the next, total 7 hrs which is the minimum length of a course), as long as it fits in with the DVSA rules. If you don’t see a Driver CPC module that meets your needs, we will be pleased to work with you to develop a new course that can be submitted for approval. Please contact us for further information.

Most Training Modules have been approved for both LGV & PSV Drivers and are 3.5 hours in duration; any 2 modules put together would equal the minimum 7 hours course length that is required. All one day (7 hour) courses are actually 8 hours in duration including breaks.

Driver CPC Courses - are designed to be interactive and interesting for the delegates and relevant to their daily role. Our approved courses have been developed in conjunction with operators and people who actually work in the industry. We aim to deliver a driver CPC course that benefits both the driver and the employer, and achieves far more than just a tick in an attendance box.

Course fees

Driver CPC Periodic Training courses at our Training Centre: the cost for an individual driver is from £55.21 per 7 hour course (+VAT & DVSA Upload), total: £75.00 or from £47.50 (+VAT & DVSA Upload) total: £65.75 per driver when multiple drivers (5 or More) are block booked on a 7 hour course, all courses at our training centre include all training materials, refreshments and a light lunch.

Driver CPC Periodic Training courses run at a customer’s premises: Our daily fee for a 7 hour course for up to 10 drivers is £400.00 (£40.00 per driver), +VAT & DVSA Upload, additional delegates up to a maximum of twenty will be charged at an additional £25.00 (+VAT & DVSA Upload) per delegate.

Note: Upload fees are currently £8.75 per driver for each seven hour course and are recharged to you at cost.

There is an additional charge for the Level 3 First Aid Module (Module J) for 3 year First Aid at Work certification, first aid booklet and upload at £4.75 plus VAT (Total £5.70)

Important Information

Driver licences - On the day of the course we will need proof of ID and driving entitlement for every delegate. This can be a Photo Card Licence, Digi-card, DQC (DCPC) Card or old style paper licence plus a current passport. No other forms of ID are acceptable. If documents are not produced on the day we will not be able to upload the 7 hours accreditation onto the DVSA database.

Course Timings, Weekend Training & Course Size - Most courses run between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. but some clients prefer to start much earlier. A full seven hour session must be completed in one day. Or the seven hours can be completed over two days providing that the second 3.5 hour session starts within 24 hours of the end of the first 3.5 hour session. We can run courses during the normal working week or on a Weekend. We are registered with JAUPT to deliver courses for up to 20 delegates on one course.

Attendance & DVSA Registration - Drivers must attend the full seven hours of training to qualify for having their seven hours attendance uploaded to the DVSA register. Drivers details will be uploaded to the DVSA register within 5 days of course completion. Drivers failing to attend the full seven hours or late arrivals or early leavers cannot have their details registered. Once a driver has completed 35 hours of training, the DVSA will automatically issue a Driver Qualification Card (DQC) which is sent to the driver's address recorded on their Driving Licence.
